Week 1. Yesterday was a big day for Davao Regional Hospital (DRH) in Apokon, Tagum City. The hospital security were dispatched from almost all corners; the always-busy doctors in circles; and nurses carrying umbrellas and sashes; - all expecting a Very Important Person's visit. A VIP indeed, because earlier reports said that President Benigno S. Aquino III will personally inaugurate the P200-Million Mindanao Cancer Center inside the compounds of the DRH. But I guess you know what happened next. Because of the immediate terrorist threat in today's procession of the Black Nazarene of Quiapo in Manila, P-noy's visit to Tagum was cancelled. It could have been a Big Squeeze opportunity for this blog. Nevertheless, the President was represented by the Secretary of the Department of Health - Enrique Ona. Well, media men already hinted that P-noy is not coming when his arrival time kept on changing and when the President's official seal on the stage was removed. I suppose, the only 'presidential' proof of P-noy that I'm able to acquire were my ID pass and sticker on my cam as given by the Presidential Security Group (PSG). Yes! No photos of P-noy, and i have to live with that.
